Brewer Wanted

We’re looking for a diligent, experienced brewer to join our world-class team. You’ve worked in a brewery before, hopefully, SALSA certified. You’re used to being a brewer and everything that entails (variable hours, hard physical labour, wet, cold, weekend checks, attention to detail, pride, etc.).

All of our beers are unfined and naturally conditioned. We brew most styles of ales and lagers, apart from anything gimmicky

Activities you’ll be involved in will include:
  • Raw materials intake and management
  • Wort production
  • Yeast propagation
  • Lab work (gravity, pH, cell count/viability, wild yeast checks, aerobic/anaerobic bacteria, ATP, water composition, etc.)
  • Cask racking
  • Kegging
  • Canning
  • Thorough record-keeping
  • Cellar checks (daily and rotating weekends)
  • Dry hopping
  • Yeast management
  • Pilot kit brewing
  • General maintenance of the kit and environment

You’ll bring to the party:
  • At least 12 months of relevant brewing and packaging experience
  • Lab experience
  • Yeast management experience
  • Great teamwork
  • A strong work ethic and a strong play ethic
  • Willingness to learn
  • Incredible attention to detail
  • The ability to take orders and take initiative
  • An inquisitive mind
  • A belief in small, independent family businesses, and an understanding of the challenges of working in those environments
