Job Description
About Us
Thirst Class Ale began as an idea in 2014 and began producing beer in 2015. We up-scaled and moved to our current site in 2016 and have been growing ever since. We produce a loose core range of beers that we brew time and time again, as well as seasonal and one-off special beers as the mood takes us. We're fiercely passionate about beer and are immensely proud of the beers we produce - we want to do more of it and for that we need great people. This is where you come in...

About YOU
We are looking somebody to join our team on a full time basis. Your primary role will be split between delivering beer to our customers and assisting with other tasks around the brewery. This would be an ideal role for somebody looking to get into the brewing industry and while we don't need somebody with loads of brewing knowledge, a keen interest in beer and a desire to learn more about how it is made is essential.

What you'll be doing:
  • Printing invoices and delivery notes and plotting your delivery routes
  • Loading our delivery van with heavy casks and kegs and taking them to our customers premises
  • Communicating clearly with our customers and dealing with any queries that arise during deliveries
  • Helping to package beer into casks kegs and bottles
  • Labelling bottles
  • Cleaning casks and brewery vessels
  • Assisting the brewery team with other day to day brewery operations
  • Probably more cleaning (there's a lot of cleaning involved in the brewing process!)

Personal requirements:
  • Good practical skills and attention to detail
  • This is a physically demanding role, so you'll need to be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects both around the brewery and whilst delivering beer
  • A professional attitude and good communication skills
  • A full clean driving license
  • Enthusiasm to learn all aspects of brewing
  • An eye for cleanliness
  • Ability to work to process, follow instructions and have good problem solving skills

About the Role
  • Your starting salary will be £17,550 and will be reviewed annually
  • We want you to grow with us, so we’ll be helping you develop your skills and rewarding you for doing so
  • You'll be working 37.5 hours a week - mostly 9-5 Monday to Friday but you'll also be flexible as sometimes you may get back late from deliveries and brewery jobs can sometimes overrun - but you'll always get your time back!
  • Company pension scheme
  • 21 days paid holiday plus bank holidays
  • The opportunity to join an apprenticeship scheme relevant to the role
  • Staff discount

How to Apply
We know it's boring, but we still want a CV and covering letter telling us why you'll be a superb fit for the role. If there's anything else you can send us that would show you have the skills we need that would be great too!

Applications to by Friday 27th September 2019 and we’ll get back to you by the end of the following week.
