  • Organised - you can keep track of your stock, shifts and team and we won’t run out of loo roll!
  • Clean Freak - you have an eye for detail when opening and closing the bar, you don’t ‘miss a bit’ and you don’t mind mucking in with a mop when needed either
  • Authorised - you have a personal license and you know the legalities and responsibilities that come with that in order to also keep the team informed and inline
  • Friendly and approachable - we’ll miss you when you’re not around

What you do:

The Taproom opening hours are Friday evenings and Saturday afternoon and evening. You will take full responsibility for the bar, from leading shifts to the bar financials to cleanliness and operations, also coming in to the office to complete the admin work.
The role will certainly but not exclusively include the following:

  • Being on point for our bar opening hours, Friday evenings and Saturday day times (Fri 5-9pm, Sat 11-8pm, plus other events, such as tasting evenings or trade showcase events)
  • Organising our support team shifts and reporting these hours for payroll each month
  • Training and onboarding members of the bar team, keeping them useful throughout their shifts
  • Making sure the team are clued up on our beer and business as well as being friendly and efficient
  • Buying our beer from the EeBriaTrade website and pricing it accordingly on the bar
  • Updating our beer lists, both bottle lists and available keg lines
  • Updating the Taproom website and social media pages
  • Responding to enquiries and helping organise any private hire events
  • Improving the bar area layout, furniture and signage
  • Decorating and running themed events for seasonal holidays etc
  • Maintaining and cleaning our beer equipment (compressor, cooler, washer, couplers, lines etc)
  • Tracking and buying our other bar supplies and stock (glasses, blue roll, cleaning gear etc)
  • Supervising our cleaner or arranging / doing the required regular deep cleans of the bar area
  • Making sure we’re up to date on social media etc
  • Stock counts and stock rotations
  • Reporting the weekly sales figures (no cash counting - we’re card only!)
  • Liaising with the other members of the local area to build the footfall

Admin Details:
Reporting to: The CEO (David)

Hours: Averaging 20 hours per week.

  • You must be available for Fri evenings and Saturday bar opening hours, but flexible re the timing for admin, stock control and bar set up hours.
  • Additional hours may also be available if you can achieve bookings for the bar that will make opening profitable!

Reward: Depending on experience the full time salary is expected to be circa £25k, which will be pro rated down for the hours worked.
